Orbital Sciences cargo ship arrives at space station

One of two cargo ships hired by NASA to make supply runs to the International Space Station has delivered its first payload.

Orbital Sciences was chosen by the US space agency to supply the small, bus-sized capsule to a docking port on the Harmony module of the ISS.

It contains food, equipment, science experiments and supplies for the station, including computers and replacement parts for NASA spacesuits.

NASA engaged Orbital and the firm Space X following the retirement of the space shuttles in 2011.
