Gunshots were fired at the home of the German ambassador in Athens overnight.

It happened around 3:40 am local time along this busy street in a northern suburb of the Greek capital.

Police sources say two attackers on foot may have fired at least 15 bullets towards the residence.

No injuries or damages were reported.

Anti-German sentiment is up in Greece among anti-bailout groups -- ever since the country's 2010 financial bailout that brought harsh austerity measures with it.

Germany is the biggest single contributor to the Greek bailout.

It's been pushing Athens for budget cuts and reforms to fix its finances.
