Driver Busted Using Carpool Lane With Sports Fan Dummy

A motorist in Washington was recently busted cruising around on Interstate 405 with a fake passenger in the vehicle. Once the driver was stopped, the unresponsive being was disrobed and it was revealed the vehicle occupant was actually a sports fan dummy.

Using the carpool lane has some obvious benefits like avoiding holiday traffic and getting to destinations so much faster. The problem is that drivers actually need a living passenger to use it.

A motorist in Washington was recently busted cruising around on Interstate 405 with a fake passenger in the vehicle. The driver was easily bypassing other cars on the roadway, taking full advantage of that carpool lane.

An alert state trooper killed the fun, however, when he stopped the car for speeding and a lane violation. The driver was pulled over near the 116th Street exit in Kirkland.

While the full circumstances of the traffic stop aren’t clear, it’s safe to assume the trooper had to hold in a few laughs. The “passenger” was wearing a baseball cap, bandanna around its mouth and a Seahawks jersey. A super quick glance and it seemed the man was sleeping.

It was definitely a good effort, but not the best. Previous carpool lane abusers have come up with much more ridiculous faux passengers. For example, one person used a skeleton loosely covered in a white hoodie and carrying a cookie tin between its legs.
