Sydney gay protest: An Australian politician's decision to rip up a rainbow road crossing celebrating gay pride has drawn wide protest.

Members of the public have taken to the streets in a colorful display of solidarity with the gay community, chalking up rainbow crossings all over the country. The campaign, spearheaded through a Facebook page, has drawn support from all over the world.
