The Yips are a four piece rock band with blues and funk influences. Roisin Doyle (lead vocals), Steven McCann (guitar and vocals), Cathal McKenna (bass and vocals) and Bev King (drums) met in October 2011 at the new music college BIMM Dublin. After the first term, they jammed together for the first time and found they had a unique sound together -- bringing together influences like Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, Band Of Skulls and early Red Hot Chili Peppers. In March they played their first gig at the Button Factory to a great response and have since been rehearsing hard to get a setlist together for a summer of gigging around Dublin and further afield.
