Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Jesse Lynn Madera arrived in Los Angeles by way of Detroit, Houston, San Francisco, Winston-Salem, and New York City; A journey that explains how Rock, Country, Folk, Soul and Jazz are entangled in her songwriting. Constant in her music is the piano, an instrument she met, almost at birth, in the form of her Grandmother's antique upright. and something that became an integral part of her life thanks to a family friend and mentor, the late Hall of Fame pianist & songwriter, Johnnie ("B. Goode") Johnson, one of the under-sung fathers of Rock 'n' Roll. Jesse's compelling live performances have quickly earned her a following in Los Angeles and New York City venues. She is currently recording her first album, expected release 2014.
