An estimated 10,000 killed in Tacloban city alone

Death, devastation and desperation as far as the eye can see in the city of Tacolban in the central Philippines.
In this city alone it's believed 10,000 people died when typhoon Haiyan tore a path through the country on Friday.
International relief efforts have begun to pick up, with tens of millions of dollars being pledged in aid.
The UN says about 660,000 people have been displaced, many without food, water or medicine.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) JOHN GING, DIRECTOR OF THE OPERATIONAL DIVISION AT THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE FOR THE COORDINATION OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS (OCHA), SAYING:
"Entire areas have been completely and utterly decimated, so keeping those alive as well as dealing with the corpses, you know, they're concurrent priorities and already teams are on the ground dealing with that and more teams are on the way."
But aid trucks from the airport struggle to enter because of the stream of people and vehicles leaving.
