Bosnia mass grave 'may be biggest'

This site in Bosnia where forensic teams are digging could be the largest mass grave for victims of ethnic cleansing.

Its existence has been known for years but not its location.

Bosnia's Institute for Missing Persons says the exact spot and details of the victims were known only to local Bosnian Serb witnesses who kept silent.

Suad Zeric survived detention in three military camps during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

He's been able to identify one of his missing uncles among the remains found so far at Tomasica.

(SOUNDBITE)(Bosnian) SUAD ZERIC, BOSNIAK WHO SURVIVED DETENTION IN THREE MILITARY CAMPS IN 1992 SAYING:

"I'm searching for my four uncles. Mehid Mrkalj has been found with God's help. I hope to find the other three - Kasim, Latif and Sakib. There are many more relatives, neighbours and friends who are still missing after all these years. Thank God that this mass grave has been found and that this hill has revealed the truth."

It's a pain
