Gold Coast outfit Double Lined Minority have come a long way since humble beginnings in 2009. Inspired by low-fi pop punk reminiscent of the '90s, the group have proven that they're more than meets the eye. From the schoolyard to centre stage, Double Lined Minority's evolution in sound and style has consistently broken barriers and exceeded expectations, pulling the rug out from under those who like to pigeonhole.
With two releases already under their belt, Double Lined Minority are a force to be reckoned with. From sets at the Big Day Out and Wallapalooza, to opening for Smash Mouth, the group have shown a knack for performing. Renown for their high energy shows and unhinged on-stage antics, it is Double Lined Minority's undeniable gusto that has fans and critics alike raving.
Following a string of gigs across the East Coast and beyond, 2013 will see the group embark on an international tour ahead of their sophomore release, 'Calling All Liars'. Double Lined Minority's 'pull no punches' attitude continues apace in the follow-up to their 2011 debut, 'With Fingers Crossed', carving out a distinctly mature sound while retaining the same dynamic melodies fans have grown to love.
At the ripe ages of 19 and 20 respectively, the boys are quickly emerging as the modern face of Australian 'DIY' pop-punk. With high expectations and the music to match, Double Lined Minority is a name you won't be forgetting any time soon. Watch this space!
