Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman halloween costume worn by Florida duo

If you're gonna do something that is really offensive to a lot of people for a cheap laugh. It's probably not a good idea to take a snap of it and post it on your Facebook.
That is the lesson learned this week by Florida natives William Filene, Caitlin Cimeno and Greg Cimeno, who decided to dress up as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for a Halloween party.
Trayvon Martin, you may recall, was shot dead by overzealous neighborhood watch captain Zimmerman in February 2012. The case made a few headlines across America before Zimmerman was acquitted of second degree murder in July 2013.
Filene went all out and blacked up before adding the finishing touch with a dollop of red paint on his grey hoodie for the bulletwound, while Cimeno dressed as Zimmerman, complete with the words "Neighborhoo [sic] Watch" on his shirt.
Reaction to the Facebook pic was predictable, with equal amounts of scorn and praise poured on the trio. As you would expect from a society as hyper-polarized as America has become in recent years.
Anyway, turns out that the trio themselves are no angels. Filene has a considerable rap sheet which includes a conviction for auto theft. Cimeno, meanwhile, it seems is just another racist redneck.
