Violent spillover from Syria kills several in northern Lebanon

Troops are on the move in Lebanon where spillover violence from Syria is causing deadly clashes.
Gunfire could be heard in a Sunni district in Tripoli where fights between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad started almost a week ago.
The Lebanese army is trying to quell the violence, which has killed at least a dozen and wounded more than 100.
A Sunni cleric from the area has accused the Arab democratic party of the Alawites from the Jebel Mohsen district of stirring up tensions.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SUNNI CLERIC FROM BAB AL-TABBANEH NEIGHBOURHOOD, BILAL AL-MASSRI, SAYING:
"This party is criminal. This party must cease to exist so we can relax. There are poor people and others who have nothing to do with what is happening among the people of Jebel Mohsen, just as the people of Bab Al Tabbaneh, poor people living in bad conditions. So this party is causing problems for all Tripoli."
