JORDAN WHITMORE - MADE FOR LOVING YOU

PRESENTED BY KATIE WARNER

A Texas girl at heart, I'm originally from Dallas, but have lived in the amazing town of Austin long enough to know I never want to leave. I'm going to be really original and tell you that I've been singing since I was a young girl and that I've always loved singing....isn't that crazy?! But here's a fun fact: I rarely sang publicly until just a few years ago. For some strange reason, I was always petrified of the stage growing up. But thankfully, it's gotten better since singing "God Bless the USA" in the first grade talent show. I've been really really lucky to have some amazing people in my life who pushed me to face my fears (over and over), and today I can honestly tell you that performing is FUN.

Get ready for this next part... I write songs. Yep, I've been writing them since high school but it wasn't until my heart got annihilated that I discovered what writing could really mean to me. Good material is always helpful. Turns out Taylor Swift and I have a lot in common. I, like her, can't help but be inspired by love and love lost. It's something so real that everyone has been through and relates to and I think that's what makes it so uniquely compelling. You'll definitely hear that influence in my music. So let's talk about influence...

People like to know who/what you're influenced by. Stylistically, I am drawn to all kinds of music, whether it be soul or folk or jazz or country...I can find room in my heart for all of it. And this variety can sometimes make its way into my songs. That may make me eclectic as an artist, but I think I'm ok with that. I hope this sense of variety keeps my fans as interested in my music and my journey as it does for me.

These days, I'm focusing most of my energy on releasing my first EP, "Fondly," into the world. As some friends and fans already know, this one has been a long time coming! I had the pleasure of recording with the amazing Dave Wiley of Alpha Rev, who produced 3 of the tunes, and I'm really happy with the end result. I sincerely hope you enjoy the songs and that you like me and that you stay tuned for more, because I think I'll keep doing this. But seriously, please like me.
