European leaders have ended their meeting in Brussels without any immediate action on the issue of illegal immigration. A special task force will deliver a report on the issue in December. The Italian government is hoping to see more concrete support from the EU. On Friday, hundreds more people were rescued from boats off the Italian island of Lampedusa.
