There is an absolutely massive market when it comes to merchandise, upscale facilities and treatments for dogs and cats.

But most other domestic pets were left out of that arena...until now, atleast.

Sonia Page is described as a hands-on healer and she focuses on making snakes and lizards feel better. Based in Brighton, United Kingdom, Page just recently held her first ever Reptile Reiki session in Lewes.

Classified as a spiritual technique, the goal behind the sessions is to help the pets relax. Page stated “It’s a very calming experience for them. Animals are very back-to-basic instinctive creatures and letting positive energy flow through them lets them get back to basics.”

Page formerly worked with disabled adults prior to receiving her certification as a reiki teacher. She is now treating all of her patients with that technique including humans, reptiles and standard animals like dogs, horses and cats.

Although Page’s launching of the reptile reiki sessions is new, she seems to be well qualified as an instructor. She owns two snakes and a gecko and she also claimed that during her certification training, she practiced reiki at home on her pet tarantula.
