Action anti fourrure surprise contre Burberry (19.10.2013)

Le mois d'octobre est le mois international d'action contre Burberry.
Depuis un an des militants en GB font campagne contre la marque britannique, ils sont basés à Londres mais ont des boutiques un peu partout dans le monde, dont certaines à Paris et Cannes.
Burberry est très fière de son patrimoine britannique, ils se décrivent sur leur site internet comme une "société typiquement britannique".
Et pourtant, la production de fourrure est illégale en Grande-Bretagne depuis le début de ce siècle, et la fourrure reste très impopulaire auprès de la grande majorité de l'opinion publique britannique.
Nous croyons qu'en mettant en lumière cette contradiction, et avec un soutien suffisant, il est possible de persuader Burberry à cesser de vendre des fourrures dans l'ensemble de leurs magasins dans le monde.
Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons également besoin d'un peu de soutien de militants anti-fourrure dans d'autres pays.
Durant le mois d'octobre, nous aimerions avoir autant d'actions que possible contre les magasins Burberry dans autant de pays et de villes que possible à travers le monde.
Nous savons que tout le monde est occupé avec d'autres camapgnes, mais si vous pouvez faire juste une action anti-fourrure dans un magasin Burberry au cours du mois, ce serait une grande aide pour la campagne, et enverrait un message fort aux d'administrateurs de Burberry.
Si vous pouvez aider avec au moins une manifestation ou une autre action dans votre pays au cours du mois d'octobre, s'il vous plaît contactez-nous afin que nous puissions coordonner et aider à faire connaître la campagne.
Nous pouvons fournir des dessins pour des tracts, affiches, bannières, etc, et nous prévoyons de traduire certains matériaux de protestation dans différentes langues.

October is International Furberry Month
For the past year, activists in England have been campaigning against the sale of fur in Burberry. Although Burberry is based London, it is now a huge multinational fashion chain with hundreds of stores in almost 50 countries throughout the world.
Burberry is very proud of its British heritage, it describes itself on its website as a "quintessentially British company". And yet the production of fur has been illegal in Britain since the beginning of this century, and fur remains very unpopular with the vast majority of the British public. We believe that by highlighting this contradiction, and with enough support, it is possible persuade Burberry to stop selling fur in all of their stores worldwide.
In order to achieve this, we also need a little support from anti-fur campaigners in other countries. During the month of October we would like as many actions as possible against Burberry stores in as many countries and cities as possible across the world. We know everyone is busy with their own campaigns, but if you can do just one anti-fur action at a Burberry store during the month, this would be a great help to the campaign, and would send a strong message to Burberry's directors from the international anti-fur community.
If you can help with at least one protest or other action in your country during the month of October, please contact us so we can co-ordinate and help publicise the campaign. We can provide designs for leaflets, posters, banners etc, and we are planning to translate some protest materials into different languages.
