An anarkali clad Sonakshi Sinha opened the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI festival) and joined the film legends Shyam Benegal, Kamal Haasan, Nandita Das and Divya Dutta at the do.
Superstar Kamal Haasan arrived with his live-in partner Gouthami Tadimalla and her daughter Subbalakshmi at the film festival where he was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan. However, Shruti Hassan or her sister Akshara were not spotted at the event.
The Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) film festival also saw the presence of business tycoon Anil Ambani and wife Tina Ambani. Former actress Tina looked no less than a diva and brought back the memories of her hay days in Bollywood.
The jury comprising of actress Konkana Sen Sharma, director Deepa Mehta, director Bruce Beresford, French actress Nathalie Baye and Japanese filmmaker Masato Harada were also given a warm welcome at the event.
