Madness of the Night was formed in the end of 2011, and the members are Daniel Dante and Abir Blackshadow. This after 10 years of not producing any music.
Daniel (Sweden) and Abir (Lebanon) first met in a chat over internet 1998. Abir was an admin for a channel over Mirc call Gothland.
However, things changed and Abir became like a promoter for Soulgrinder Daniel's band and together they built Gothland.com. This became a comunitry, one of the bigger for gothic rock over internet. They started together with a third person from Turkey to promote, interview bands, reviewing ect.
After a year of friendship, Daniel and Abir met in Beirut and they fell inlove. Later on they got married In Sweden Daniel started a project by trying out some different loop programs ect an electronic / darkwave project, got the name Erotic Chant, later Anabelle. They released a cd over mp3.com ”between pleasure and pain” and some of their songs toped the charts (over mp3.com). (time about 2001-2002) After this Soulgrinder and Erotic Chant fell to its grave, Daniel and Abir got two children.
Abir have lived and wore a nikab before. She left religion. She is very much anti religion, wars and also a feminist.
Madness of the Night From the begining it was just a try out with the track Theatre of Life. Daniel have played in bands since mid 80´s. His root is metal (thrash / death / black) / punk ect but in the end of 80´s he got touched and inspired by bands like The Mission Uk, Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, Fields of the Nephilim. Abir also is influenced by gothic rock and darkwave music such as Dead Can Dance and Sisters of Mercy. She also take inspiration from classical Arabic singers like Fairuz and Majida Al Roumi.
