Blending roots rock with elements of folk and country Lucky Bones vibrancy is somewhere on the crossroads between the towns of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits.
The band's debut album "Together We Are All Alone" was released to wide international critical acclaim in March 2011. After recording that album in Bastrop, Texas with producer Stephen Ceresia and some of Austin's finest session musicians, O'Connor returned to Ireland and put together Lucky Bones. The band now consists of Leon Kennedy (Bass); Conor Miley (Keys); Peter O'Grady (Guitars).
Influenced by a range of styles from folk and country to 70's rock and jazz, their sound is both rootsy and sophisticated which has led critics to compare them to Ryan Adams and Tom Waits.
Towards the end of summer 2012, having toured throughout Europe and the USA, the band returned to the sleepy town of Bastrop, Texas where they reunited with Stephen Ceresia in the Sunday House Studios, and tracked their second album "Someone's Son".
"Someones Son" was released in Ireland on May 22nd 2013 and worldwide on July 8th 2013. With an ever growing fan base and more tours to be announced, it seems like only a matter of time before the music of Lucky Bones reaches the wider international audience it truly deserves.
