In a statement to the nation, Egyptian authorities warn against any unrest that would disrupt Sunday's 40th anniversary of the 1973 war with Israel.
Despite this warning, both opponents and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood have called for mass protests.

Political tensions have gripped Egypt since the army ousted President Mohamed Mursi in July, installing an interim government.
