Malaysian murder: Former air force personnel shot thrice in head

A former Royal Malaysian Air Force personnel was shot dead in Taman Rishah, Ipoh, Malaysia on Sunday (September 1). The 39-year-old victim, S. Jambu Keshan retired five years ago from his post as an air traffic controller.
Local media reports, Jambu Keshan was unloading goods from his car in front of a grocery shop, which was only about 30 meters away from his father's restaurant at 7:15 am. Two suspects arrived at the scene in a car. One of the suspects, reportedly wearing a full-faced helmet, got out of the car and shot the victim at a close range before fleeing with the accomplice. The victim was shot thrice to the head.
It was reported that the victim was rushed to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun by his relatives. However, he succumed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to The Star, police had not yet determined whether it was a gangland-related killing. They were still gathering information and urged witness to come forward. Three 9mm bullet casings were reportedly found at the scene. The victim's 28-year-old brother, Ashok Kumar said he was shocked by the shooting.
Jambu Keshan, whose latest rank was Laskar Udara Kana, meaning Leading Aircraftman, retired after 19 years of service, and had been helping his father in running a restaurant.
