Hundreds of people from Ethiopia's largest ethnic group, the Oromo, gathered in the south east town of Bishoftu to celebrate the annual Irrecha Festival at the weekend.

Irrecha marks the end of the rainy season and the beginning of spring, along with hopes for an abundant harvest.
