STORY: Vivienne Westwood's ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday (September 28) was a flashback to medieval times, with a glimpse into the attire of pilgrims wearing their finest and most festive. The British designer called her show "Everything is connected" saying she took her inspiration from the morality of medieval folk. Westwood's show featured a mix and match of asymmetrical dresses, blazer-like jackets and quirky prints. A low-neck printed top was paired with polo trousers and a grey blazer to create a primitive yet modern look. Models sported painted faces and bold updo hairstyles, entering the stage via an escalator in six-inch heels. Fabrics included material made from recycled plastic bottles and sack cloth in addition to traditional silk, cotton and knitwear.
