Detroit Tigers' Prince Fielder chows down on fan's nachos during game

It looks like Tigers star first baseman Prince Fielder has a thing for nachos. Hey, everyone gets hungry, especially during a long, boring baseball games. It also looks like players can also get the munchies during games as well.

The first-place Tigers were playing the Seattle Mariners on Thursday afternoon in Comerica Park in the Dirty D. The Tigers won the game 5-4 to stay on top of the AL Central by 6.5 games.

The Mariners on the other hand are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Seattle took its 86th loss of the season on Thursday and is 22.5 games back in the AL West.

The Mariners' Mike Zunino hit a foul ball over to the first-base side during the fifth inning. The foul pop fly caused Fielder to kick it into high gear to try to get under the ball. Surprisingly, Fielder wasn't able to make it in time to make the catch. Apparently the long run out towards the stands gave Fielder the munchies. Luckily there was an unsuspecting fan with a box of nachos in-hand.

That's when Fielder did what any hungry person would have done: he snagged a bite with lightning quick speed before heading back out onto the field. Fielder moved so quickly that the fan didn't even have enough time to pat Fielder on the shoulder.

Fielder's mid-game snack was definitely the highlight of the game. That is why Fielder gets our nod for player of the week. Go Tigers!
