Protesters attempting to disrupt work on the high speed rail link between Turin and Lyon have been advised by members of the so-called new Red Brigades to " take a step forward in political and organisational terms".

The threat came from Alfredo Davenzo and Vincenzo Sisi who are in jail. The Italian government has responded by deploying 200 more troops to the area.
