Two bombs found on a Cairo metro line are defused by Egyptian explosives experts. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
Egyptian explosives experts defused two primitive bombs planted on a Cairo metro line on Thursday (September 19), the state news agency reported, causing a partial closure of the network.
The bombs had been found 100 metres (106.4 yards) from Helmeyet el-Zaytoun station in northeast Cairo.
Later in the day, the metro line was reopened and commuters were seen coming in and out of the station.
Militant attacks have been on the rise since the overthrow in July of Mohamed Mursi, Egypt's first freely-elected president.
