Sushant Singh Rajput In Shekhar Kapur's Paani

After a lot of speculations and hunt, finally the makers of Paani have finalised their male lead. Quite impressed with his outstanding performance in Kai Po Che and Shuddh Desi Romance, Shekhar Kapur and Aditya Chopra didn't hesitate in confirming Sushant Singh Rajput to play the lead in Paani.
The film is based in a future world where wars over water have been showcased. Water is now owned by International companies who are using the quest of thirst as their weapon to control the world. In one such future city, a young love story breaks all the rules, and thus in the following war, water flows back to its people. The movie will have a strong both, Indian and Western, star cast. Sushant Singh Rajput will be paired with a young leading actress from the west.
Paani, produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shekhar Kapur, will be shot in India and overseas. Music will be composed by maestro A. R. Rahman. The film is expected to go on floors by mid-2014.
