Police in Pennsylvania are looking for thieves who reportedly stole more than $31,000 of gas. The unknown culprits used a county credit card in the numerous gas thefts.

It all began last year, in April of 2012. The card was continuously being used all way through until May of 2013.

According to police, the Fayette County credit card that was used was reported lost last year by an employee but it was never cancelled. In total, the Public Works Department reported that the thieves made $31,173.46 in gasoline purchases.

Surveillance footage captured several of the thefts. Various people were caught on recordings using the stolen card to buy 9,000 gallons of regular and diesel fuel.

It remains unknown if the thieves are somehow affiliated with Fayette County, but police are still investigating, hoping someone will come forward with information.

Images of numerous suspects fueling up have now been released. Police are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicles or suspects to call Fayette County Crime Stoppers.
