Summer Carnival '92 Recca is one of the rarest Famicom cartridges, due to a low print run, and a release at the very end of the console's lifespan. It's seeing new live, though, on the 3DS Virtual Console, where it makes its way to the rest of the world for the first time, bringing shoot-'em-up gameplay that's faster and more responsive than anything ever released on Nintendo's hallmark system. By meticulously optimizing the software for the Famicom, Kid and Naxat Soft created the most technically-refined shmup possible for that hardware.
