Mourners grieve at funerals for Tripoli bomb victims

The sound of gunfire punctuates the funerals of two bomb victims in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli.

42 people died and hundreds were injured when twin bombs hit two mosques just after Friday prayers.

Salafist cleric Dai Al-Islam Al-Shahhal was among hundreds attending the funerals alongside mourners and gunmen.

One distraught father called for his son to be returned to him.

The apparently co-ordinated blasts were the biggest and deadliest in Tripoli since the end of Lebanon's civil war in 1990.

The recent resurgence of sectarian violence in Lebanon has been stoked by the bloody conflict in Syria where President Bashar al-Assad is fighting a largely Sunni Muslim-led rebellion.
