A passenger train has killed at least 37 people crossing a railway track in Bihar state in eastern India.
The accident triggered a protest by passengers who beat the driver unconscious, attacked staff and torched a train carriage, according to local media.
Some of those killed are believed to have been Hindu pilgrims.
