A Russian surgeon is in some serious hot water. The doctor has been accused of stealing heroin from a drug smuggler’s stomach.
A Russian surgeon is in some serious hot water. The doctor has been accused of stealing heroin from a drug smuggler’s stomach.
The unidentified male surgeon who reportedly has prior drug convictions, had operated on the patient to remove the heroin. He then kept some of the drugs for himself.
Police quickly caught on something was up and went to apprehend the doctor. A law enforcement spokesperson stated “At the moment of his arrest, the doctor was in a state of drug intoxication.”
The drug mule had become sickly while on a train. The smuggler in question was well known to police. He was sent to a nearby hospital for the sole purpose of having the drugs he was transporting removed from his stomach.
Cops were hot on the doctor’s trail when all of the heroin wasn’t handed over. Officers located a bag which held 5 grams of heroin in the surgeon’s clothing.
If convicted of the newest incident, he could face up to 15 years behind bars.
The drug smuggler is currently in a coma and medical authorities are continuously working to save his life.
