S Africans see ID cards as major step away from Apartheid era

South Africa is launching a new identity card system which the government says will reduce identity fraud.
 
Some illegal immigrants are already trying to bribe officials to get one of the cards.
 
But for older South Africans, the new ID cards represent much more.
