The Washington Redskins will open up their 2013 preseason schedule away from home as they visit the Tennessee Titans in an NFL pro football exhibition game set for Thursday night August 8th.

Kick off time from Tennessee is set for 8PM Eastern Time with live television coverage provided only in the Washington and Tennessee home markets.

The NFL preseason betting odds from this week one game have the home side Tennessee Titans favored by -1 ½ points with the over under line set at 35 points. A money line wager on the Tennessee Titans will return -120 odds with the take back on the road underdog Washington Redskins at +110 odds to earn the upset win with no need for points on their side.

Robert Griffin III coming off major knee surgery has been cleared to practice but don’t expect to see RG3 in preseason game number one. There is some depth behind Griffin in NFL veteran Rex Grossman, Kirk Cousins and Pat White.

The Redskins are loaded at running back with Alfred Morris, Keiland Williams and Roy Helu Jr. Evan Royster, Jawan Jamison and Chris Thompson will compete for carries. The Redskins first draft pick was cornerback David Amerson from NC State. The team needs to be better defending the pass as the club allowed 275 yards through the air per game in 2013.

A tough three quarterback rotation for bettors for Tennessee with the erratic Jake Locker starting under center. The backups are Rusty Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Starting running back Chris Johnson should see little action in week one. The backups are Jackie Battie, Shonn Greene and Jalen Parmele. Four of the first five draft picks by the Titans came on the offensive side of the football. The team ran for only 106 yards and threw for 207 a season ago.
