Former Everton striker Andy Gray believes Joey Barton is too much of a risk for the club.
The ex-Man City and Newcastle midfielder has said he wants to join the Toffees as his time with Queens Park Rangers draws to a close.
It’s unsure whether new boss Roberto Martinez is keen on the 30-year-old but Gray, who won the First Division title with the Goodison Park side in 1985, believes Barton brings too much baggage.
