Caulkin on Newcastle’s Gomis pursuit

The Times’ North East correspondent, George Caulkin, joins Neil Ashton to give an insight into Newcastle’s transfer targets as well as the power struggle at the club.
Caulkin says he understands the Magpies are closing in on a move for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
He also believes Alan Pardew is a ‘man on a mission’ ahead of the new Premier League season, and is keen to stamp his authority as manager in their pre-season tour of Portugal.
