Seagulls are opportunistic scavengers. A pesky gull recently swooped down in Bexhill, United Kingdom and swiped a 92-year-old woman’s dentures.

The elderly lady named Renee had been innocently sitting outside of the assisted living home in which she lives. She was relaxing in a garden on the property, feeding some birds but she made the mistake of placing her false teeth on a table right next to her coffee.

Renee was eating a biscuit as a seagull flew towards the table and snatched up her dentures before flying off. The bird soon realized the stolen dentures weren’t exactly appetizing, so the gull spat them out on the roof of a nearby building.

The nursing home manager stated ““Poor Renee came in crying her eyes out and absolutely distraught at having lost her teeth.” A few employees used a ladder to get on the roof and soon Renee had her teeth back. The elderly woman now sees the humor in the incident, finding it rather funny.
