Mahesh Bhatt's Arth To Be Remade In Pakistan

An adaptation of Mahesh Bhatt's award winning and critically acclaimed film 'Arth' may soon become the first Indo-Pakistan film to be shot in Pakistan.
Pakistani actor-director Shaan takes up the project, where according to Bhatt; it's not a commercial transaction, but an emotional one. He added that they were quite decent enough to seek a formal go-ahead from the author.
Bhatt's protégéPakistan, screenwriter Shagufta Rafique, will script the film. Apart from writing, she is involved in the casting of the film. She said that they will cast Pakistani girls, along with some Indian actors too. Shaan will reprise the role played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda in the original. All the technicians, however, will be from India, and the entire film is going to be based in Pakistan itself.
