Demichelis becomes Atletico de Madrid's newest player

Majadahonda (Spain), Jul 11 (EFE).- Argentine Martin Demichelis, Atletico de Madrid's newest player, claimed that had signed for the team for one season after having under gone a routine medical check-up in Madrid. Demichelis, who played for Malaga last season, is the fourth player to join Atletico's ranks this summer, alongside defender Jose Maria Jimenez and strikers David Villa and Leo Baptistao.
Demichelis went on to say that manager Diego Simeone was one of the main reasons he chose to join Atletico and that the team was a winning group.
The club announced that the player would be presented in front of fans on Friday at 11:00 GMT at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
