Jonny Sexton delighted to end 16 years of hurt for the British & Irish Lions

Jonny Sexton has revealed his pride at being part of the first British and Irish Lions side to win a series since 1997.
The tourists have suffered 16 years of hurt since they beat South Africa 2-1 16 years ago under head coach Graham Henry.
And Sexton, who scored a superb try as they beat Australia 41-16 in Sydney to claim a famous triumph, couldn’t hide his delight after their victory Down Under.
“When they won in 1997 I never thought I’d be in the next team to win it,” Sexton beamed.
