Brazil: Protestors now number more than a million

Al Qarra - 30,000 in Brasilia, 300,000 in Rio de Janeiro… in total 1 million people protested throughout Brazil on Thursday evening.
The government’s promise to lower the cost of public transportation has done nothing to calm manifestations. Protestors continue to demand quality public services and denounce the exorbitant cost of the 2014 World Cup.
Due to the mass movement, President Dilma Rousseff canceled a planned official visit to Japan from June 26 to 28. She will meet with high-ranking ministers this morning.
"I hope the government will respond to our demands. There are lots of questions, diverse fights. For transportation we don’t only want 20 cents less, we want more. We all want justice and a better Brazil."
