Not every ‘bad boy’ can become a criminal mastermind. 19-year-old Antoren Bell definitely doesn’t fit the bill.

The man, from Pensacola, Florida reportedly attempted to carjack a woman, but his plan was foiled when he discovered the lady’s car had a manual transmission. The incident occurred on May 18th.

The victim had been driving when three teenage girls flagged her down and asked for a ride. The obviously kind lady stopped her vehicle and offered to help, but Bell appeared and pointed a gun at the woman. She ran away and contacted police.

Bell took the driver’s seat while his young female friends also hopped in the car. Unfortunately for them he had no clue how to drive a stick shift.

He quickly abandoned the car and left the scene, but cops were able to locate two of the teenage girls and obtained some information from them. Bell was later identified in a photo lineup.

He has now been arrested and charged with vehicle theft and robbery
