Most people dread going to the dentist. The sound of drills and sharp tools against sensitive teeth are terrifying enough when the dentist is sober.

A dentist in Poland has been accused of being drunk and ripping out a man’s tooth. Police claimed the male patient was undergoing treatment for a crown when the simple procedure went horribly wrong.

While sitting in the chair, the patient started to get suspicions that his dentist was intoxicated. The dental surgeon began by polishing the man’s front teeth. He then gave the patient five shots of anesthetic.

A short time later, he noticed his front tooth in a nearby container. Immediately he began to object and demanded his records from the 50-year-old dental surgeon who refused.

The police were soon called to the scene. Once officers arrive, the dentist locked himself in his office.

Cops were eventually able to get inside and later confirmed the dentist was indeed drunk. While results are pending, the local prosecutor's office has been alerted of the case.
