Hikes in bus and metro fares sparked protests on June 13 in Sao Paolo and Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
Thousands of people, many of them students took to the streets. There were some clashes with police.
The unrest came as Brazil prepared to host the Confederations Cup football tournament kicking off on June 15.
