Man Accused of Rape Claimed He Wanted to Save Victim's Life

50-year-old Rodger William Kelly has been accused of raping his 29-year-old female neighbor. He claimed his only intentions were to keep her warm and “save her life”.
One suspect came up with an absolutely hideous excuse for his alleged actions.

When police confronted Kelly, he admitted penetrating the woman, but claimed his only intentions in doing so were that he wanted to keep her warm and “save her life”.
On May 19th, Kelly reportedly found the woman passed out on her porch. He claimed that he picked the female up and took her to his own apartment where he had sex with the unconscious victim.
According to police, he initially changed her clothing and placed the woman on his bed. He held her for a while to get her temperatures up and then attempted to have intercourse with her to get her bodily temperatures to rise.
When the female awoke, she said she felt pain as though a rape had occurred. The hospital was unable to conduct a rape kit as someone had cleaned her vaginal area.
