5-Year-Old Tornado Survivor Killed By Family Friends' Dog

A small child was recently killed by a dog in Arkansas. The victim is from Oklahoma and he had been staying with family friends after his home was destroyed during the tornado.

In a heartbreaking report, a child was recently killed by a dog in Arkansas.

The five-year-old boy had been putting on his shoes and crying at the time of the incident.

According to a police spokesperson, the dog might have taken the child’s demeanor as aggression and may have felt threatened. (1,2,1) The 150-pound animal then attacked the boy.

The victim and his younger sister are from Moore, Oklahoma. They had been staying in Arkansas with family friends since one of the recent tornadoes destroyed their home.

A Garland County Deputy stated “You can't imagine, you know, what this family and friends are going through right now.”

The woman of the house was eventually able to separate the dog and child. He was taken to the hospital but sadly it was too late to save his life.

After the attack, the dog ran off and animal control officers spent the next two days searching for it. A friend of the pet owners’ was able to locate the dog and shoot it.
