Former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev has been taken to hospital for medical tests. The 82-year-old was admitted yesterday to the Kremlin's hospital but no further details were made available.
In March Gorbachev complained of health problems and a month later did not attend the funeral of Margaret Thatcher due to illness.
