Cricket TV - Chris Gayle On How To Score A Triple-Century - Cricket World TV
  • 5 years ago
In this cricket video for Cricket World TV West Indian opening batsman Chris Gayle talks about his experiences of scoring two Test triple-centuries - only he, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara and Sir Don Bradman have achieved such a feat.

He tells us how you need to dig deep, how his own medical issues have to be considered and then talks about building an innings, the mental side of things required to make a big score, whether it be a Twenty20 innings filled with sixes or a long innings in a Test match over many days - such as his 317 against South Africa or 333 against Sri Lanka.

Gayle was talking to Cricket World (http://www.cricketworld.com) at the launch of the Chris Gayle Academy in London.

The sporting development programme aims to unlock the potential of young people, using cricket to enable them to become role models in their communities.

The academy in London will work hand in hand with the academy in Jamaica, which is due to start in 2014.

The programme will be delivered by coaches from Cricket for Change, it is funded by Comic Relief and is promoted by the Chris Gayle Foundation.
