Paris Jackson reportedly attempts suicide

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of late pop star Michael Jackson, was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Wednesday (June 5) after an apparent suicide attempt, her mother, Debbie Rowe, told entertainment TV program "Entertainment Tonight."

Paris, the second of Jackson's three children, had "a lot going on (lately)," according to her mother.

On her official Twitter page, @ParisJackson, the singer's daughter left cryptic messages, including "i wonder why tears are salty?" and another, a Beatles snippet: "yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay."

Celebrity website TMZ.com, which first reported the suicide attempt, said Paris had been taken from her home in Calabasas, California, by ambulance at about 2 a.m. time, citing unnamed sources.
