Del Bosque cuts Confederations Cup squad down to 23 players

Las Rozas (Madrid), May 27 (EFE), (Camera: Leo Redondo).- Spain manager Vicente del Bosque decided to leave some players at home for the FIFA Confederations Cup and presented a preliminary list of 23 footballers. The players taken off the squad were Sergio Busquets, Xabi Alonso and Nacho Monreal, seeing as they are suffering from injuries. They could, however, make their way back onto the team by the end of the week, depending on how well they recover.
