Woman of Straw is a 1964 thriller film directed by Basil Dearden, starring Gina Lollobrigida and Sean Connery.

Sinopsys: Charles Richmond, a wealthy and unpleasant old Englishman, is entrusted to the care of nurse Maria as he is very ill. The beautiful girl, although initially not convinced to serve such an odious old man, changes her mind after the insistence of Charles's charming nephew, Anthony, who convinces her to stay by proposing a plan to change the old man's will and be able to share the his heritage. After some time Charles asks the woman to marry him. She accepts and over time begins to grow fond of him.
During a boat trip the old man dies: just the day after changing the will in favor of his wife.
It will later be discovered that Charles was murdered. The culprit will eventually be caught thanks to overwhelming evidence.
